Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ)
What are the mixing instructions for the dry cookie
mix?
- Empty
cookie mix into large bowl. Add 1 ½ sticks of butter or margarine
and 2 large eggs. We highly recommend butter for its flavor and baking
qualities. Then mix until the dough starts to form a ball or holds together
well.
- If you have a hand mixer: Mix on low speed for around 4-6 minutes depending
on the kind of mixing beaters.
- If you mix by hand (wooden/plastic spoon): It will take around 5-7 minutes
depending on spoon size and mixing speed.
- If you have a counter top mixer: Mix on low speed for 2-4 minutes depending
on mixing beaters and speed.
- The best mixing beaters for cookies are the standard beater. If you
have something different you may have to mix longer.

What are the baking instructions
for the dry cookie mix?
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place cookie dough 2 inches apart on
a greased (oil sprayed) cookie sheet. Bake 8-12 minutes or until edges
of cookies begin to brown then remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes.
- If you want crispier cookies then bake longer. If you like soft, chewy
cookies then shorten your baking time. All ovens are different and you

Do do you use real butter in your cookie dough?
We
use baker’s soy margarine—the
choice of premium bakers. Margerine is more stable than butter when
thawed then refrozen.

How long should I bake the cookies? At what
temperature?
We
recommend baking the cookies between 10 and 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
Since optimum time can vary, depending on your oven, temperature of the
dough, altitude, etc., it’s a good idea to check at about
9 minutes. Remove from oven when cookies are light brown around the edges
and allow to cool.

How to get the most flavors out of your cup of
coffee:
- Use fresh,
high quality coffee.
- Use bottled
or filtered water.
- Keep
your coffee pot clean.
- Use correct
amount of coffee to water ratio. 2 tablespoon per 3 cups of water.
Adjust to according to your taste.
- Spread
coffee evenly in your filter.
- Serve
immediately after brewing. Coffee looses it flavor shortly after
brewing, because of the heat. Heat speeds up the evaporation of the
aromatic oils.

How should I store my coffee?
Coffee is a fresh product, so you should enjoy it as soon as possible.
Between each brewing always store in an air tight container, in a cool,
dry location. If you need to store for long periods of time, freezing
will prolong the life of your coffee. Heat and oxygen shorten the tastefulness
of coffee.

How do I clean my coffee maker?
First, once the coffee is done brewing remove the filter and coffee
grounds. The longer the coffee sits the more oil residue is left in your
coffee maker, this makes it harder to clean up and adds unwanted flavors
the next time you brew. When cleaning your coffee pot do not use dish
soap, use a little baking soda and hot water. Use 2 teaspoons baking
soda in the water reservoir then brew a pot with fresh cool water. Then
rinse all the coffee maker parts thoroughly. Then brew a pot of water
before making your next pot of coffee.
